Such a wonderful image. I love the contrast of light and the soft use of shadow. Your attention to detail here is outstanding, and the reflections are beautiful . Awesome!

Location
Birdsboro, Pa.Time
the time of day was mid-day early afternoon.Lighting
It was a typical summer afternoon. Sunny with clouds and hot and humid. I went there for some cooler temperatures and some shade.Equipment
The camera is a Nikon D-70. it was handheld. the camera is modified for infrared, and I still use it today. the lens is an AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 1.35-4.5G ED.Inspiration
I went to the lake/reservoir and the light was good with lots of reflection on the water. The camera was relatively new to me. It was purchased from a fellow photographer friend. I had several camera with me as usual. I took the shot and multiple others with both cameras. And played in the water taking other photos of anything interesting. I had no thoughts of it even becoming an interesting snap. I had a very good day.Editing
As they say, "I like to make the picture in the camera". In my processing I like to find the picture within the picture. There is always one there. I this case the picture was the picture within the picture. Post processing is and was minimal. There was a small bit of sharpening, contrasting, adjusting light levels and balance. There was a very small crop to compose the picture. some of the picture was a bit hot and I has to adjust the light to remove any blown out spots. I use the histogram a lot to get the right light levels when shooting. That is about it.In my camera bag
Then I was using an Olympus E-3 and the Nikon D-70. Normally I take today My Cannon 7-D if it is cloudy with storms possible I take the Nikon D-70. I also have my Cannon G11 Point and Shoot. with assorted lensed and I use the 100-400mm for most shooting. I take a monopod sometimes and a bean bag. VERY IMPORTANT: make sure you have extra data cards and batteries. No cards no pictures.Feedback
My advice is very simple. Keep shooting. Take your time. Explore. Take the picture anyhow. It may be a keeper. Don't delete your pictures in the camera. you may want that one. Have fun.
