Only about 15 minutes after talking to a ranger at Wichita Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma, and asking where the best place to see an Elk would be and being told "you would have to be the luckiest man alive to see an Elk today, it's too hot (it was 80 degrees that day)". While shooting some rock structures I heard a noise, turned around and saw this Bull Elk running across the hill. After getting over the shock I managed to get a couple of shots before he disappeared across the next hill.
