Location

This photo was taken close to my house, where I live these burrowing owls are everywhere and I am totally fascinated by them. I am an amatuer photographer, I always have my camera on me so, if I see something that interests me i photograph it

Time

It was early evening, the sun was just starting to go down

Lighting

I really focused on the lighting, I wanted that sunset in the back of the owls

Equipment

I have a pretty standard camera, it is a Nikon Coolpix. It my very first semi-professional camera

Inspiration

I love these little owls. If you watch them you will see they each have a different personality

Editing

I have a very simple editing program, I just intensified the colors in the photo

In my camera bag

My camera has several different options on it but, it does not allow me to put an external lens on it

Feedback

Just go for it, if you see it and you find it interesting take the picture and keep taking pictures. There is no rule book for photography, there are guidlines but, the more you use your camera you will figure out the lighting and which techniques work best for you and do accept criticism from others, there are things other photograhers can teach you so, always keep your mind open and snap away
