Baby Steps

This tiny foot belongs to a premature boy born at 23 weeks and 5 days. It is not that common that a hospital would save a micro permime under 24 weeks, but considering the circumstances of the pregnancy they decided to try, and they succeeded. This child spent 317 days in two different hospitals. He underwent many surgeries. He coded (Had a heart rate of Zero) three times. He had massive Edema and Acisties from Cirrhosis of the liver due to a complication with his umbilical cord. This little boy just inspired me so much that I had to capture his strength. Even with all that he had been through he's still going through more, but it's been worth it every second. This little boy is my son Nathan Michael.
