While on the Rodney Fox Great White Shark Expedition this same bird would come and eat the scraps of the chum and every morning would get chased by the Great White Sharks. Lucky for the bird apparently if they do get caught by the sharks they get spat out as they do not taste any good to the sharks.

Location
This photo was taken around the Neptune Islands in South Australia aboard Rodney Fox Great White Shark Expeditions.Time
This image was taken in the morning around 9amLighting
It was an overcast day which made for really nice even lightEquipment
Canon 60d with sigma 17-70mm 2.8 macro lensInspiration
Every morning of the trip the bird in the image would come around to pick up scraps from the chum mix, and every morning this scene would take place between the bird and the shark. I wanted to capture the struggle of the bird and try and capture the shark being so cunning as it is. It was a big game of cat and mouse and on this trip this bird escaped every time with a few very close calls. Apparently the birds are pretty lucky anyway if they do get caught the sharks tend to spit them out as the birds don't taste any good.Editing
