Behind The Lens

Location

This beautiful shell was found in the sands of the British Virgin Islands. Photo was taken in my back yard.

Time

Mid day.

Lighting

This was an HDR photo, and about 7 different photos were merged.

Equipment

Nikon D90

Inspiration

HDR photos are absolutely beautiful at capturing details, and this shell needed that.

Editing

Yes, I shoot in raw, then combine all of the different exposures in photoshop to create the HDR photos.

In my camera bag

My camera, extra battery/charger, misc. items such as glass beads.

Feedback

Use a tripod, set the stage for your item, capture at least 7 different exposures minimum.
