Behind The Lens

Location

My Australian Cattle Dog, Caoimhe (kee-va), loves cold and snow like I do. I took this shot during a snowshoeing hike in northern Michigan.

Time

It was late afternoon after a few days of snow.

Lighting

As I recall, the day had been sunny but on a northern Michigan afternoon the light ends early so the sun was heading low. The snow of course was reflecting the remaining sunlight.

Equipment

I took this with my Canon EOS Rebel XTi and the kit 18-55 mm lens

Inspiration

Look at that face! How could I not take her photo! She was, and is, my faithful companion, and a very photogenic one at that.

Editing

I don't do any post-processing.

In my camera bag

My Canon 80-300 mm lens. I usually shoot landscapes.

Feedback
