Amazing...I did a very similar type shot of my now ex-husband, but as he is now my ex, he won't let me use the shot for anything anymore....Have to admit, yours IS better than mine though...

I love your portrait you took, please tell me what lens you used for this shot,it's perfect, and when did you make it,at night,or in the daytime? My question is,for me if I an take a shoot as beautiful as yours with my kit lenses 18-55mm,but I don't think so.Thank you.

Superb. Love the processing and lighting, which looks like daylight - judging by the catchlights.

What a perfect example of the nitty gritty and such a variety of textures too Craig. Congratulations on being a finalist.

At Home, It's a selfie!Time
Late afternoonLighting
Taken in a room with just window lightEquipment
Nikon D90 1/20sec f4.5 iso 500. Camera on tripod, tethered to my computer using lightroom. No flashInspiration
Was looking for some interesting portraits for competition entries, Thought I looked quite interesting when i've just got back from work and haven't shaved!!Editing
Converted to mono in silver efex pro. Processed in cs4 using layer masks so i could darken and lighten certain areas. Some selectif sharpening. In my camera bag
Fujifilm x20 and iphone5Feedback
It's quite easy all you need is the equipment a tripod and yourself! experiment with different lighting effects, I seldom use flash relying more on window lights or natural lighting.
