Location
If I remember correctly, I took this photo from the Empire State Building when I went their with my wife for one of her significant birthdays.Time
Around 10am as the advice we where given if we wanted a quieter experience and it worked too.Lighting
It was a bit overcast on the day as it was April and there had even been flash floods that day.Equipment
At the time I used my 1st digital slr, which was a Minolta Dynax 5d and the kit lens was a 18-70mm.Inspiration
I fell in love with New York and it's iconic buildings and when I saw this view I thought it would make a great shot.Editing
I changed the shot to b&w and boosted the contrast as it was a pretty drab day and it looked too grey then selected the cabs as this is what stood out for me.In my camera bag
These days my camera bag consists of my Canon 5d M3, Canon 24-105mm, Canon 50mm, Sigma 105mm, Sigma 70-210mm, Speedlight and spare batteries and memory cards. I tend to carry a tripod but leave it in the car mostly.Feedback
You never know whats around the corner, just keeps your eyes open to all possibilities.
