I love this! I thought it was a regular white background, then I saw that it was snow! Superb image, and great job getting the snow white!

Location
I took this photo in my backyard in the winter. I was so tired of winter and decided to buy several bunches of tulips and place them in snow drifts to photograph.Time
10:30 am.Lighting
The sky was overcast which created good lighting with minimal shadows.Equipment
Nikon D100 camera, Nikon 18-200mm lens. Hand-held.Inspiration
Our long and cold winter inspired me to take this photo. I wanted to look forward to spring so I arranged each bunch of tulips in the snow. I also shot individual tulips, small numbers of tulips and bigger bunches like this one. It gave me great experience learning to expose right for snow. I shot red, yellow, purple and pink tulips. Tulips are my favorite spring flowers.Editing
Sharpened a bit in Lightroom. I did not need to do much because I got the exposure correct. In my camera bag
My Nikon camera, Nikon lenses including a 12-24mm, an 18-300mm, a 70-200mm, an 80-400mm, a 50mm and a fisheye lens, extra cards and battery and my remote shutter release. These allow me to have what I need for most any situation.Feedback
Be creative and think of something new to try. I was anxious for spring and this helped me to see what would be coming in the next month.
