Location
This photo was taken on Isle of Mull in the Scottish, its just a 45 minute ferry from the main land.Time
This is one of my favourite photos, we had just arrived at our camp pitch, and went for a walk it was late evening and the sun was just setting, not sure of the time now, but you don't need to know the time on Mull (well not till you are getting the ferry back)Lighting
The light was amazing, in fact I nearly lost the shot, just looking all around for a photo, every where you looked was fabulous.Equipment
I was using a Nikon D300 at the time, I had a small travel tripod, that I wished I had brought a more sturdy one with me. The lens was my favourite travel lens 40-130.Inspiration
The light was the main attraction, and when I seen the little boat I know I had a good shot. I knelt down and framed the rocks in the foreground.Editing
Yes, I did quite a bit post-processing to get the colours and exposure right. In my camera bag
I now use a Nikon Z9, when Traverling I take a 10.5 mm wide angle lens, a 40-130 mm and if I going wild life shooting I will take a 105-600 z lens. I always now take a good sturdy tripod as Iv learnt my lesson with travel tripods. I always have a compass as well.Feedback
My main advice would be have a good tripod with you, they might not be as convenient as a travel tripod, but so worth the extra effort, and just keep your eyes open and looking for a shot take a compass so you can find were the sun will rise/set.
