Family vacation in California for the first time and 'The day at the beach' was at Hermosa Beach, right next to the pier. Sitting on the beach with the camera, I and a young lady reading a book near by were both surprised by a wave coming quite high up on the beach and it reminded me that the beach is a place to be attentive and awake, even when it is as beautiful as this.
