Location
This photo was taken while on a stroll in our neighborhood (Reynoldsburg, Ohio). Our neighbors are always putting up funny displays in their front yard. Got lucky: there was a pick up truck parked immediately behind the skeleton, making for a clean blue background.Time
This shot was taken at about 2:30 p.m. (E.S.T.)Lighting
Taken in strong afternoon sun.Equipment
A good old Nikon D2X camera of only 12 MP with a Nikon lens, hand held. No fill flash. Although I am blessed in owning modern Nikon DSLR's, I sometimes I enjoy shooting the older models.Inspiration
I thought that this get-up and subject were very funny!!!Editing
Other than resizing the image, no post-processing.In my camera bag
A Nikon DSLR or two, some Nikon, Tamron, or Sigma zooms ranging from 28mm to 200mm. I tend to gravitate toward longer focal lengths. I now find myself shooting a bit more film, the scans of which I will submit to ViewBug (that is, when I get around to it - Ha Ha!!!).Feedback
Be patient, and take a few angles - it took a few shots to get the angle of the head just right versus the position of the background (blue pick up truck). Due to the straightforward lighting of this subject, there was no need to play with exposure. Due to the bright sunshine, the colors punched out without ant post-processing enhancement.
