I took this photo walking my dog down Cervantes Street in San Francisco just after a light sprinkle of rain.Time
Was mid afternoon, I was on my way back from the dog park and I see these plants all over my neighborhood, they always stand out to me, it had just sprinkled a bit, didn’t have my camera with me, so I whipped out my phone and the rest is history so they say.Lighting
We have gotten a great deal of rain in the early months of 2023, this was one rare day at the time that the rain was sporadic, to slightly cloudy skies with natural light.Equipment
Used my Samsung Galaxy S20 phone, Aperture f/2?ISO 25?Shutter 1/125?Focal Length 5.9/1, it’s what I had on mope at the time and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.Inspiration
The truth is I have shot images of this type of plant before, they grow all over my neighborhood, and I love them. They always appear so sturdy and rugged, this day with just a drops of rain water on it just caught mt eyeEditing
I really mostly use photoshop express, I did some exposure tinkering, and got rid of some dirt on the plantIn my camera bag
Canon EOS M6, 15-55mm lens, 55-200mm lens, 28mm macro lens, lume cube panel pro, lume cube mini, small tripod, and always my phoneFeedback
Be aware of your surroundings, you never know when you might be inspired, it could just be the most simple thing that like me in this instance you pass something every day, but this one day it just felt different
