Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken from my front house garden where this cockerel was sighted outside my house.Time
It was in the late morning slightly past 9am when this cockerel was was searching for food around the grassy ground outside my house.Lighting
The sun was subdue at that time and was not yet overhead. So the sunlight could be seen falling on the bird.Equipment
I was using my Sony a6300 camera that was mounted with Sony 4.5-5.5/70-300m lens. This photo is a hand-held shot.Inspiration
I'm always entailed by the beauty of a cockerel. So in this instance, when I approached this cockerel with my camera in hand and ready, it looked straight up proudly and looked. That was the moment I clicked on the shutter.Editing
I carried out basic post-processing - developing the photo from its raw format, cropping the photo and made few necessary tonal adjustment. In my camera bag
The equipment in my bag depends mainly on the types of shots I would expect to execute. Besides my Sony a6300 I normally have 2 camera lenses - Sony Zeiss 4/16-70mm and Sony 4.5-5.5/70-300mm, a polarising filter, a nd filter and a tripod (the last 3 items are depending on usage requirement).Feedback
These are points I like to share: (1) Know your camera well, (2) be prepared, (3) be patient, (4) learn from your mistakes, & (5) look, study and learn from beautiful photos taken by other photographers.
