My Status:
About me: I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up in Madrid, Spain and currently live in Dallas, TX.
My initial explorations of artistic photography took place in the early 90's while I lived in Boca Raton, Florida, and were focused almost exclusively on underwater photography.
I was asked in 1999 to participate in Antinea Foundation's multimedia show, to be exhibited around the world to create awareness and protect the oceans.
I have also participated in the "Encuentro Internacional de Artistas" held in San Antonio de Areco, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2003. In the last few years, my focus has shifted to Asia, having covered countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, India, Vietnam, etc.
While my initial experiments with Photography included creating and using box cameras out of anything I could get my hands on (I remember using a Colgate box as a camera once), I now mostly shoot 35mm as well as medium format, both film and digital. My trips end up being quite a challenge when it comes to carrying all my equipment while being able to move around with ease. I do find that while the medium format rig is heavier and bulkier, and can truly become a huge effort to lug around for 16 hours a day, the results well justify the sacrifice.
