This is my friend Molly. She happens to be a fantastic makeup artist and what do you know - she doubles as a model. I had intended for her to be laying in water with just her face poking above the surface, as if you were looking down on her from above. Let me tell you, people of the internet, it was just not working out. Even though I spent hours on it I decided to start all over. I've come to the conclusion that this was a good decision. I've always wanted to try an above and below water image like this and I realized this picture would work perfectly. Also it wasn't too far from my original intention. Sometimes you just have to give an image some time to present itself to you correctly.
