It is my creative "mecca" where I meet with other artists and with everybody who love to express themselves through photography." - martina

My Advice To Fellow Photographers: For me it's not about the specific formula "How to do this...". Doesn't matter if you are pro or just exploring photography, it is all about your feelings. You have that shot already in your mind but you really make the shot with your model, equipment and the feelings in the room. You must know your gear at first. Learn every single functionality of your camera, lights, flashes and even tripod. If you are confident about your tools, then it will be easier and the inspiration will come naturally. Shoot a lot, train your eye and you will see the results.

The Setup: This particular photo was shot around 5 p.m. It was part of photoshoot for my friend Dominika. It was cold winter day, but inside of my studio we made the atmosphere feel like a sunny summer afternoon at the beach. For the lightning I used my Bowens setup. For Dominika I used a 2 point lighting setup.  For the main overhead front light I used a Bowens 500c with Beauty Dish with less than 1/2 power. As a fill light I used the same light on minimal power with a point light extension to brighten the hair and shoulder from the back.

The Equipment: I used my Nikon D800 with Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8. Lightning: 2x Bowens 500c. Flash Trigger: PocketWizard

The Inspiration: My friend Dominika came to me with and idea that she wanted a "sexy" but not cheesy photo.  I thought that using a "after shower" simple look was a perfect way to express her sexiness. The idea was to have little make up, wet hair and the skin just with decent red lipstick.

The Post-processing: I always do post-processing on each one of my photos. First I import my raws into Lightroom where I do simple corrections such as shadows, highlights, exposure, contrast and sharpening just for contours. Then I export the photos to Photoshop CS6 to start retouching. I usually do frequency separation, dodge and burn, color corrections with curves, hue and saturation, selective color etc. For my final touch I play with different lighting effects such as brightening some areas to direct the  viewer eyes over the section where I want the attention.

In My Camera Bag: I usually carry my Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8, Nikkor 50mm f1.8, Samyang 85mm f1.4, PoketWizzard, 2nd Battery, Charger, 64GB CF Card, 2x 16GB SD Card 10class, Cleaning Tools for lenses and good mood.
