Thank you! I haven't heard them called that yet, but I also have never met someone who was familiar with the flower, since it is not native to Iowa and typically does not survive the cold temperatures!

Amended to reply that I looked up the name and you are completely correct - I was misinformed on the name of the plant. That's what you get for listening to your parents! :P

Whoops - I didn't even think about that. I knew it was a wasp but someone, on another picture, mentioned that it reminded them of the song and I thought it was a great title for this picture. In an attempt to be funny, I momentarily forgot what type of insect it was! :P
