Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken during a random walk and entrance to a park in Hamburg, Germany.Time
The shot was taken on the 31st of August at about 12:49 CET time, on that day and time the weather was extraordinary, with plenty of sunshine.Lighting
I wanted to focus strongly on the ladybird given the lighting effect on this little animal while balancing out the shadows of the green leaves to build that extra contrast.Equipment
No other equipment was involved except my 48Mp triple-lens camera on Xiaomi Mi9T, with f/1.8 aperture and 1/2.0" sensor.Inspiration
I love photographing any subjects, nature in particular that I come across while traveling or during a walk. The weather made it perfect to go for it. Since I like ladybirds I didn't expect to get a shot on that day. While entering a park I was looking at the common snowberry bushes and found a ladybird on a leaf. What I like here is the fact that the ladybird looks imperfect, having a dark spot at the back, and is going towards a pitted leaf that has some imperfections too. Watching him was inspiring enough to make a shot.Editing
It was essential to make the ladybird being the central subject so a little bit of a filter was used to smooth the shadows in the back.In my camera bag
What I have with me is my Canon Zoom lens 30x IS, 4.3-129.0 mm 1:3.4-5.8, and Xiaomi Camera.Feedback
Natural light is quite important when photographing. Also, natural parks, lots of green areas bring the silence, creativity that comes with the feel for colors and contrast with the right amount of patience to capture unique moments. Macro lenses will surely help to enhance the subject, ideally used for short focusing distances and taking sharp images but for me primarily is the passion for the beauty of nature that is of great significance.
