Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken while my husband and I were walking from south street seaport to the high line by Hudson yards. If you ever visit New York please take a walk on the back side of south street. Anytime of year it’s amazing.

Time

Wow, this was taken at around 4pm-5pm. It was raining on and off and it was pretty chilly that day. But I just couldn’t get over how the clouds kept hugging the setting sun. I didn’t even see the Statue of Liberty until I uploaded my photos of the day to my laptop. It’s a bad habit I have when taking photos lol.

Lighting

Honestly being an amateur at photography I honestly don’t know. I mean the lighting here (to me at least) was perfect.

Equipment

My first ever canon rebel T5. Shot using the stock lens 35mm.

Inspiration

Well, funny thing is I just grab whatever catches my attention. It was totally the clouds and the way the sun was shining through. The whole thing really. Lol

Editing

Oh wow, um honestly I used Lightroom and messed with the contrast and whites if I remember correctly. But this was taken a while ago. I was really really new at editing so I really don’t remember.

In my camera bag

Lol, in my bag now I have my Rebel T7, 35mm, 50mm, a cleaning kit, filters, a battery pack for my phone and AirPods. I love listening to music while taking photos. A small first aid kit.
