I took this photo at my local marina in Bedford Uk , I am a self taught photographer trying to learn and better myself as I go along.Time
This is my favourite capture to date, I had been out for several hours seeing what I could capture. I had found a bench to sit and have a bite to eat on, when this magnificent creature just decided to settle down close by.Lighting
I didn't have to worry about the lighting, as this was taken around 2pm on a sunny day. The only thing I would say is make sure the sunlight isn't actually beaming straight at you,Equipment
I used my Finepix S4400 Aperture f/5.9, ISO 64 , shutter 10/7500 , focal length 2900/100 As thereInspiration
What inspired me to take this photo was, that in my eyes these are such elegant and graceful creatures.Editing
The only post processing I did was to crop out some of the surroundingsIn my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon EOS 400D camera along with my 75-300mm and my 500mm lenses. plus a wide angle lens and a macro attachment. If I'm out for long periods of time I also take along a tripod.Feedback
My advise on anyone trying to take similar pictures is take your time and try and choose the right time to take your picture. Patients is also needed as you could be waiting for quite a while, also a tripod is a good idea so not to get camera shake.
