My friend had recently opened up a studio so we decided to hire a model for the day and just see what we could come up with on the day no plan really we just wanted to play around with different lighting setup. And this was one of the images that came out of that day.Time
This image was took at the back end of the day I would say. It was getting towards the end of the shoot and Chloe our model for the day had some really interesting outfits with her. This one in particular stood out and I knew I had to take a few shots of her in this before the end of the day. So glad I did.Lighting
I wanted the emphasis to be on Chloe and her pose with her leg leading you into the picture with the background just blending in. I used 1 Profoto B10 with a large gridded beauty dish so the light would just fall off around the Chloe.Equipment
I used my Canon 5d MkIII with a 24-70 F2.8 lens. Along with 1 Profoto B10's.Inspiration
Chloe has got such a unique look about her that I wanted to capture her elegance amongst her surroundings. With her being on the Chaise Longue the opulent wallpaper and the potted palm plant all added to the look and feel of the overall picture.Editing
I didn't do much post processing on the image just colour graded and cleaned up the image a little in lightroom. In my camera bag
I've since upgraded to a Canon R6 which I love. and I use my trusty 24-70 F2.8 with adapter along with my 70-200 lensFeedback
As I mentioned before this shoot wasn't really planned it was just get a model in and see what we come up with. Testing out different lighting setups. If think it is good to have days like these to test things out and see what you get!
