This photo was taken in my back garden while experimenting with camera settings in burst mode, by a shot of luck, a hoverfly landed and took off during the burst, Around the same time I also signed up for Viewbug! I am a self-taught photographer who began to advance into professional photography in January 2020Time
the time of the photo was around noon, I recall the sun peering over my left side shoulder and reflecting light off the bright leaves from my strawberry plantsLighting
The lighting was complicated due to using natural sunlight, There was a lot of waiting for the right angle of lightEquipment
This was shot using my main camera a SonyHX400V with the Raynox DCR-250 Super macro Converter and a cheap Unbranded 5ft TripodInspiration
I was challenged by fellow photographers to try capture the best macro of a flower and the end result couldn't have been betterEditing
After the photo I spent some time practicing editing with this photo, In this shot, I had wanted to create a splash of color effect within the photo to really make that Fly pop-outIn my camera bag
Being a low budget photographer I find it essential to carry lens wipes for my the SonyHX400V and a macro converter, Also part of the kit is 2 tripods one for low ground shots and another for anything above,Feedback
with these types of photos, it requires a lot of patience to capture something at the moment, be sure to test your settings and use a burst setting. With high-end equipment photos such as these are easier to capture with video.
