Location
This photo was taken in Berlin (Germany). While walking through its streets I went through a tunnel near "the island of museums". At that very moment I saw in that structure a very original composition with the ceiling lights. I waited for people to pass to get the ideal composition.Time
I think it was mid-afternoon when I took the picture. It was the month of December and there was a Christmas atmosphere throughout the city.Lighting
The uz is the essence of this composition. From the ceiling lights guiding the viewer's gaze to the exit of the tunnel to the absence of it in the rest of the composition.Equipment
To take this picture I just used my pulse.Inspiration
I always try to find frames and compositions that convey emotions. Tunnels and urban structures are always one of my favorites. With them it is easy to convey feelings. With this tunnel it is possible to appreciate the light within the darkness, the victory of good against evil, hope and illusion. Although it is also possible to see it from another point of view: the cold and dark world in which we live.Editing
I only used Black and White processing with Photoshop. I accentuated the shadows a bit to convey more drama. In my camera bag
There are never missing in my backpack several lenses (angle and telephoto), the tripod, remote timer, rain cover, and gloves for the cold.Feedback
Observe the corners that you walk through every day. When you think there is nothing interesting, try to pass again. Or change the time of day you do it. There are always new elements to get a frame or different points of view.
