Location
This photo was taken in an actual artists working studio just outside London. Was a great location and had stuff everywhere and paint splattered floors.Time
Was taken around midday, the original plan was to use lots of natural light, unfortunately when we arrived we discovered due to it being such a hot summer the studio owner had covered up the roof windows with camo netting so used a studio light I stead, I find this happens alot so always thinking on my feet at shoots.Lighting
As mentioned we had to change lighting plan on the day due to the changes the owner had made to the studio, unfortunately we only had one studio light and softbox so used a combination of natural and studio lights.Equipment
Canon 5Diii and 16-35mm at 35mm. Prophoto studio light with large hexagonal soft boxInspiration
I was inspired mostly by images found on Pinterest where a mood bored was created.Editing
Yes, most of post pro is done in Lightroom with skin retouching and dodge and burning done in PhotoshopIn my camera bag
Canon 5D iii Canon f1.4 50mm Canon f2.8 16-35mm iii Tamron f2.8 24-70mm Sigma f2.8 105mm macro Various speedlights and filters.Feedback
Make a mood board and find good location, Photography studios are okay but normally means very dull plain backdrops. Last but not least get a good model that knows how to pose without too much instruction meaning you can focus on the actual shooting and lighting.
