Location
The photo was taken in the Italian dolomites, at the three peaks of Lavaredo.Time
This was taken during the blue hour, when amazing tones appears in the sky.Lighting
I had to take two exposure to get this image, one for the mountains and one long exposure, almost 5 minutes, to get the cars light trail.Equipment
I used my Nikon d800 with a 16-35 f/4 lens. I also used a tripod and a remote control to maximise stability.Inspiration
I was looking for a nice mountain shape and I saw the cars going up and down the road so I tried to capture all that in a dynamic way.Editing
Landscape photos require a lot of post processing to get the most out of it. I enhanced the pink tones on the peaks and the light train to draw attention to the landscape in the background. Then blended everything and applied a sharpness layer to get detail. In my camera bag
I usually bring my camera with a couple of lenses, wide angle, tele photo lens and zoom lens. Then I have a remote control, tripod, lens cloth, spare batteries, a lot of them if I go somewhere cold, spare Sd cards, ND filters, GND filters, Holder.Feedback
Wake up early to get the best light, try to find shapes in the ground to draw attention to the main subject and take different photos from different angles and then compare them. Go to a place different times, so you can see how the light and the weather change. Landscapes are beautiful in any conditions, you just have to take advantage of the situation.
