I took this picture during my walk home from school. This photo was taken in the community tennis court right after a bird had just flown by. It was amazing how elegant the feather looked. I had known nothing about photography at the time so I didn't think it was that good. In the end, I kept looking at the picture realizing that I wanted to start a new hobby of photography. Since then, I have been taking pictures on my phone hoping someday I could get a great camera.Time
This was my very first ever picture of nature that I was proud of. This photograph was taken around noon as I needed to get good lighting. It took so many tries but in the end, I got the right angle. This photo was actually taken in a hurry as it was almost about to rain and I didn't want to have raindrops in the lens. I was in such a rush that the tries before were so blurry that the feather wasn't even visible.Lighting
That day was so cloudy so there wasn't much light. It was so gloomy that I couldn't angle the phone the way iI had planned. I wanted the feather to reflect back some light into the lens to give it a glossy look but the lighting wasn't cooperating. In the end it started raining so I had to rush and quickly snap some pictures and it turned out great.Equipment
I am actually an iPhone Photographer. I really wish I had a Nixon camera with proper equipment, but unfortunately, they are too expensive for me. I hope in the future I could get enough money to buy a real camera. I had taken this photo with my iPhone 7 without any lens or any equipment.Inspiration
My biggest inspiration for this photo would be the bird that left this feather. I remember seeing a mother bird flying down to pick up a worm. It was fascinating for me as I had never seen a bird swoop down and do that. Curiously I went to check it out. As I was going there, the bird had dropped a father but I was much too focused on the baby birds to even look at it. Soon enough the mother bird went away to another tree and I noticed how smooth the feather was. I thought it would make a great picture so I went ahead and took the photo. In the end, the bird flew back to her babies and I got a great photo.Editing
Yes of course. I had originally had this picture with a light green ground. I thought if I changed the saturation to a darker tone it would look better. I did so and it turned out well.In my camera bag
As I said earlier, I am an iPhone photographer so I don't really carry any equipment when I am going places. All I use is my handy dandy iPhone 7. It works pretty well considering my lack of experience at the time.Feedback
When starting a new hobby as creative as photography, you need to have interest as well as creativity. don't just do it because someone else is making you do it. If you do it that way, you will never consider yourself good. You will always feel someone is telling you what to do. That is what I had felt with every other hobby I had tried before. After finding my love for photography, I realized that you need to develop that interest and passion on your own. Without it your life will be so boring. I found my passion and now I am proud of myself. My advice to you is don't be afraid to try something new. IF you never try it you never know how amazing you are at it.
