Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Portsmouth Va, off of Elizabeth River. The Elizabeth River is a 6-mile-long tidal estuary forming an arm of Hampton Roads harbor at the southern end of Chesapeake Bay in southeast Virginia in the United States.

Time

Took during one of golden hour, which’s is my favorite time for photography. I love the natural of lighting of the golden hour sunsets

Lighting

i wanted the water to emphasize the golden sun, and the wooden fence to pick gold tints in the grain patterns

Equipment

I actually used my lucky camera, the Canon Rebel XT. It’s the very first camera I started off with. I love my new Canon T7i, which was my dream camera, but it’s nice to shoot the old school Canon XT every now and then.

Inspiration

A long day at work pushed me to be outside. I find nature to be therapeutic. Plus, who wouldn’t like ending a stressful day with a beautiful sunset?

Editing

I used Lightroom CC to help bring out the blues,m. My Canon XT has a way older sensor compared to my Canon T7i, so sometimes bringing out the colors through editing, is necessary to bring out what I saw with my own eyes

In my camera bag

Both of my camera bodies Canon 50mm 1.8 70-300 mm Sigma 25-250 mm Canon 18-55 mm Canon 18-35 mm Lensball (last be this item) And some candy lol
