Xcaret Park at Riviera Maya Mexico

Time

There is no any specific formula about this image. It's all about time and moment. The Xcaret Park at Riviera Maya is absolutely gorgeous place, it should be in any traveler and photographers list who is going for holidays to Cancun Mexico. On the image is public beach with small beautiful lagoon. This place is really crowded with tourists. The one and only way is to take your camera and wait until nothing disturbing is in your frame. The image was taken at 2 p.m. that's why some harsh shadows are still visible. The biggest challenge on the image is to create compositionally the filling of relax and joy at fully crowded place. I was following a lot of travel bloggers in Intsgram,so i had some previous impession and idea of final result . Accesories are also important to finish final composition . Hat and the bottle of beer finishes the image. I have used 35 mm lens to get the wider look and impression.

Lighting

Day light with harsh shadows.

Equipment

I have used my main camera which is Nikon D810 and Sigma 35 mm F1,4 lens

Inspiration

I wanted one image which could express best of my vacation experience at Cancun Mexico. The image full of relax, joy, sun and beautiful place

Editing

Nothing much i have done in post for this image. I have used Lightroom for basic color and expossure corrections. Than some basic manipulation in Photoshop, to remove some disturbing objects , added some grain to create more cinematic look.

In my camera bag

I have traveled with my heavy Nikon D810 for a long time. Usually I'm taking 2-3 lenses in vacation. 70-200 mm from Tamron for portraits and compression, 24 and 35 mm Sigma lenses for landscapes and wider looks. Couple of years ago i have started the filmmaking . So i have added additional Sony a6500 camera with 2 lenses 16-70 F 4 from Zeiss and Sigma 30 F 1.4 lens for filming. Also i have Moza Air Gimball in my bag to make my videos more stable and cinematic. So I'm carrying about 8-10 kg in my bag every time.

Feedback

The best way to get beautiful image is to lift your butt of the coach and go outside and start making some images. Get inspired by the photographers around you, worlds high class photographers. Watch and learn, there is so many ways and opportunities to get educated in photography and post production. Watch YouTube the are so many great photographers and bloggers who sharing their experience absolutely for free. Find your style in photography, find the things you love to capture no meter what it is- people, cars or landscapes. Never stop learning, be like a sponge and always observe something new.
