Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in my backyard in East Texas. I was practicing harness training with my cat and decided to grab a few photos.

Time

I can't quite remeber but I can promise it was definitely after noon. It was during the summer months shich mean I didn't get out of bed till noon:)

Lighting

I dont like to use lighting props, so I try to take every photo with natural light. I feel that with nature photos, it's important to use what nature provides for each photo.

Equipment

I shot on a Canon rebel t6 with a 18-55mm lens. I just got my first camera and didn't have anything fancy, so it was a learning experience.

Inspiration

My cat was being cute and finally layer down. I noticed the tall brush and wanted to incorporate that element into my photo.

Editing

I did a little post-processing. Mostly just straightening the image and some color vibrance. I try to keep my photos as similar to the environment as possible but add a little pop:)

In my camera bag

It depends on what I'm shooting. If it's a small event, I typically have my Canon body, 18-55mm lens, 70-200mm lens and my 50mm lens. I also carry a monopod and extra batteries/SD cards. And most importantly, I always carry water and a snack for long shoots.
