I took this photo in one of the train stations in the Philippines. It was quite spontaneous and I only had my phone to take the photo with me at the time.Time
If I can remember correctly, I took this on an early Saturday morning. So with the clock in the photo, I assume it was around 5:17 am. I was working on the night shift at that time so there were only a few people around and I could breathe the morning air.Lighting
I love how the morning colors were so vibrant that morning, and the low sun light naturally created the silhouette of the lady in the shot. I was exhausted that morning so I had a bit of a struggle to keep the shot still enough to see the details.Equipment
Just my phone, Xperia A1 Plus.Inspiration
It was the quiet morning and fresh(er) air. Normally, the stations would already be bustling with people and the chaos would give me sensory overload. This was a lovely moment of peace and serenity in an otherwise busy city. The stunning colors from the sun and the cool morning breeze triggered me to capture the moment. It also helped when I saw the silhouette and what a rare chance it would be to capture with little distractions.Editing
I remember editing the saturation a bit to highlight the colors I saw and I cropped the image a bit when I realized my alignment wasn't great. That's all for this photo. In my camera bag
Honestly it varies. Photography is a hobby of mine and I'm very much an amateur. I sometimes carry my Fujifilm XE-2 with me (along with the 18-25mm kit lens) and rarely do I bring the tripod (it's heavy okay!). Mostly I just use my phone.Feedback
If you're in the Philippines, or in a busy city, and feel like something would be a good photo, TAKE IT! This doubles for when you feel at peace. Take as many photos as you can and focus only about capturing the sensation you have or the sight you want. If you ever feel like you shouldn't because "you don't know how" or "it won't look good", take it anyway! The more photos you take, the more practice you get, and the better they become. "Take the photo now! Ask questions later".
