Location
This photo was taken from the Brooklyn waterfront, across from Lower Manhattan.Time
The image was captured as the sun was setting in December.Lighting
The golden glow originates from the setting sun that was low in the sky and reflecting off the clouds and water.Equipment
This was captured on a Canon camera, using a tripod and a 24-70 L series lens.Inspiration
NYC is the source of all my inspiration. I love capturing the same image at different times of day, different seasons, different weather, etc. You never end up with the same thing twice thanks to the ever changing lighting.Editing
Yes. I love post processing for a multitude of reasons. One being that, often, a camera is not capable of truly capturing or replicating reality. Often you need to manage this in post editing to bring out the true beauty of natural light. In my camera bag
Canon everything.Feedback
Patience and be prepared. I have shot from this location a hundred times and the lighting is different every time. Come prepared. It was a cold winter night, gloves and warm clothing is a must so that you can shoot with confidence and not feel rushed. Try try try again and again!
