Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Syracuse zoo in 2017.

Time

The time was around 10am kr 11am.

Lighting

It was a little challenging due to having to shoot through the fencing.

Equipment

I used a Canon 7d mark ii, Canon 70-200 2.8L lens, and a monopoly for stability.

Inspiration

Every year the zoo has a competition. Unfortunately, I did not win that year. I actually won with another photo for the 2018 competition.

Editing

I try not to process my images too much. I like photography to be exactly that....photography. Too much processing makes things look fake.

In my camera bag

Canon 7d mark ii, 70-200 2.8L, 18-55, speed light, lens cloth, remote shutter, ND and circular polarizer. 70-300 if I'm really out for something super long distance.

Feedback

Lots and lots of patience. I take quite a few pictures until I feel like I have "the one" most are similar. But you will find one that has a certain look....you will just know!
