Great contrasts in shadows here. The lines of the shadows at the ridge really give an interest to the image and the beautiful curve of the ridge as it leads away really draw the eye well in the composition. Pushing the width with the 27mm focal length gave some great drama to the capture. The only think I would note here in critique is watch your horizon lines. While the rule of thirds can be thought of as a compositional guideline, it can really help with the drama and feel of an image. Try to move your horizon up closer to the top thirds line or down to the bottom thirds line a bit, and I think you will see an additional element of interest come into your shots! In this case, I think I personally would have raised my horizonline to the top thirds line and added additional interest in the foreground and used the whit of the snow for more negative space, enhancing the interest of the few clouds you had available close to the horizon to highlight the sky with a little less negative space in blue. overall, this is a great capture! Keep your eyes open and keep grabbing the world's moments! you are doing great!
