The eastern garden lizard; changeable lizard (Calotes versicolor) is widely distributed in Asia and in many parts of the world. The ground-colour is generally a light brownish olive, but the lizard can change it to bright red, to black, and to a mixture of both. Changeable Lizards are related to iguanas (found only in the New World). They do not drop their tails which can be very long, stiff and pointy.Like other reptiles, they shed skins and can move each of their eyes in different directions.
