Location
It was taken in my room in Osaka, Japan. My room is very small, there isn’t enough space to put equipments. I took all the necessary furniture for living such as bed, desk, TV, etc from the room and challenged shooting.Time
This picture was taken on the summer's day of 2016. I think that time was around the evening. I do not mind much time because I often shoot in the studio or at home.Lighting
Since I thought that she wanted to photograph the subject herself, I kept trying to keep it simple, as I will not overproduce it in lighting.Equipment
This picture was taken with Nikon D 800 and Tamron 24-70. The strobe is a Godox AD 360, and it is diffusing with a plate of a plurality of foam polystyrene and a large white cloth.Inspiration
In the picture she is my friend. She is usually a very strong person, but sometimes it shows a fragile and weak side. This photograph was taken to think that she wanted to express such herself.Editing
I use Lightroom to adjust the exposure, white balance, and to trim photos. Most of the time Lightroom is enough. If I want to edit a photo further then I use Photoshop. In my camera bag
My camera is a Nikon D800 and the lenses are a Nikon 85mm F1.4 and a Tamron SP 24-70 F2.8. For lighting I have a strobe light and a large white cloth to diffuse light. If the shoot is on location, I’ll sometimes use a soft box as well.Feedback
Light diffused into a large white cloth was made to diffuse even further behind with Styrofoam. I use cloth for spreading light without using light modifiers. That light is a very soft light.
