This photo was taken in front of my house. My house is set up on a hill, so as soon as I see the sun is about to set, I grab my camera and go snap away at whatever I can!Time
This was probably in between 7-8 PM. I remember running out of my house seeing the sun glowing. I had only bought a new camera months ago and never thought I would capture such a shot! I remember taking the picture, then looking back at it and being so happy and honestly proud, just running around my house and showing everybody!Lighting
I always wanted to just take a picture that had such a glow to it. When I first got my camera I thought that would only be achieved by the flash, but when I went out one night and saw the true force of the sun and realized that I could take something more. And that is how that picture was inspired!Equipment
This picture was shot with a Nikon CoolPix S7000 camera with a 4.5-90.0mm lens.Inspiration
I always wanted to take photo shoots with people all the time but I was never really finding time in other people's schedules to do that. So when I was outside one day I looked up and realized the sky and the sun could be just as beautiful and maybe even more amusing. And a sunset even added to the inspiration, seeing the sun glow before the moon became more prominent and the sky darkened was such a magical time. And I was ecstatic to capture when the sun was at a constant decline in the sky, and hiding behind the trees seeping out with a significant glow.Editing
No I did not use any post-processing.In my camera bag
I usually just carry my Nikon CoolPix S7000 camera with me and nothing else, I hope to save up for more equipment in the future!Feedback
Always know in the back of your head what time the nature you're planning on capturing is set to peak. Sunset for me is 7-8 PM so I'm always ready with the camera around that time! And also don't be discouraged if something doesn't look good right away! When I take pictures I'll look back after I'm done and see that I truly did capture something beautiful!
