Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo by the pier in my home town, just before a dance. I happened to look around and see the amazing photograph just asking to be taken.

Time

Around 5pm, this was in late spring early summer.

Lighting

If you ever find a nice shot with the light hitting the water perfectly, grab whatever you have (even if it's your phone) and shoot it.

Equipment

I used my Sony DSLR A350, and my Velbon CX 540 tripod.

Inspiration

I was actually taking pictures of my friends and the way the light was hitting the water caught me in the corner of my eye.

Editing

Nope, all of my photos on view bug are 100% raw.

In my camera bag

I always have my Sony DSLR A350, and usually my Velbon tripod.

Feedback

The Okanagan is a beautiful spot, on the pier around sunset. I'm very lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful valley in southern Canada. If you ever get the chance to take a trip to the Okanagan, take it!
