This photo was taken at Cammo Estate in Edinburgh, my favourite place to walk my dogs. It was foresty and fieldy parts with a canal and a burn running through it as well. Perfect for dogs.Time
I can't remember exactly but early afternoon I guess. It was the first real walk for my pups and they had great fun. Even behaved for a sitting picture - although panting but they had a good run-around before, so I can live with the open mouths :)Lighting
Well the sun is kind of harsh but this wasn't a planned image. I just loved the buttercups and they made a great contrast to the mahogany coat of the Irish Setter pups.Equipment
I used my old Nikon D5100 with the 55-300 kit lens that came with it.Inspiration
I took the camera with me as it was the first walk for my pups. As I mentioned earlier, this wasn't a planned image. I just loved the buttercups and they made a great contrast to the mahogany coat of the Irish Setter pups.Editing
I can't remember exactly but I'm sure I lightened the image slightly and added some luminance to the flowers. In my camera bag
My old D5100 which might not be the best camera for many but we get along really well. It usually has a long lens attached to it. For work at indoor dogshows, I have the D300 with a shorter lens on it, 50mm 1.8 or similar.Feedback
Well, not really :) Apart from getting an Irish Setter or two and hope for the best!
