Lovely lily. I have many white lilies up. This yellow one is very nice.

This was taken in my garden I have a pond and this is one of the plants at the edge and it is so unusual in its form and shape It started off as a very small plant and has taken over one corner of the pond now giving a spectacular show every springTime
I took this on a very fine spring day(unusual for us In the U.K.) about 4;00 in the afternoon I work a weird shift pattern and I have to fit my time around it I had recently joined View bug and was looking for shots around to add to my profile and also to add to my collection for my yearly calendar that I compile for my family and friendsLighting
I just loved the shape and form of this plant and with the sun lower in the sky at this time of the year it seemed right time to capture the imageEquipment
the camera I used is a Fuji Finpix s4900 a camera that I have been using for the past few years on my backpacking jaunts around the worldInspiration
To add to my view bug profile but also to have new shots to select for my family calendar this yearEditing
I took only minimal processing on this as I felt it needed none bar some croppingIn my camera bag
I try to get away with the bare minimum ,as a traveller carrying a lot of weight made me opt for the Fuji range for the last few years . I am a pure novice to photography and really wanted to start with some basic equipment that I could multitask with to record my travels to show my family and friends . I have learnt to always have spare batteries , sd cards , charger before I go out and about I have upgraded to a Olympus O.M.D now and cant wait to return to India next year with itFeedback
I am finding now that I am developing an interest in photography I am looking at things differently around me. I have walked by this plant for the past few years and never bothered with it as a subject . I can now see and realise wherever I turn and look there is a opportunity to take a photograph
