Behind The Lens

Location

This Photo was shot in the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea,South Pacific during the Annual Goroka Traditional Show. This show have attracted lots of Photographers world wide who flew in to Papua New Guinea for this show.

Time

I lived 2hours from this town and i travel by mountain road to reach this place to take these pics. It was shot around 10am in the Morning as these Dancers are about to do their traditional Dance and Chants. It was an awesome Event which i can't wait to attend again this mid September

Lighting

Lighting gives out the texture of any Photography and the Details. I decided to use a flash here since its a bit dull when the festival is taking place and also facing the sun to help illuminate my shot

Equipment

Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon EF 24-105mm with flash hand held.

Inspiration

The reach culture of this Country Papua New Guinea inspired me to travel here every year to take amazing photography. The colors of the Dancers and the body Painting and costume are just amazing

Editing

I do sometimes do post processing usually when i shoot in Canon.RAW.Files.

In my camera bag

I usually have my Canon 5d MKii and my Canon 24-105mm lens...sometimes i carry my 50 mm and my 70-200mm F.2.8
