Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at SnowBasin ski resort in Utah.

Time

I believe it was afternoon on a beautiful day.

Lighting

I thought the shadows from the tracks plus the snow flying made a great picture.

Equipment

I used a Kodak point and shoot camera that I carry with me most everywhere. No special settings

Inspiration

The inspiration was that this skier (unknown to me) was skiing an extremely difficult slope and seemed to have it all under control.

Editing

I think I just used the enhance photo setting on my computer,

In my camera bag

I have my camera only. I have since purchased another camera which is larger than the one I used for this photo. When I go skiing I have to carry the smallest camera I can put in my ski coat. I can't carry any thing else other than batteries and memory cards because there is always a chance of falling on any very large items. If I am able to, I have a tripod for more accessible shots, but I seldom use it.

Feedback

Just always have your camera handy for that special "photo op". I do not use very sophisticated equipment and am just an amateur. But I believe I have an eye for composition and lighting and todays cameras do almost all the work anyway. Just take lots of pictures and you may get a winner.
