Nice. First photo I've seen of a snowflake with depth. Most look like flat paper cutouts.

Location
I took this photo in front of my house on my car as it was snowingTime
this was December 8, 2013 early afternoon it was snowing really good, the snowflakes were good sized so i decided to take my camera out.Lighting
this was just a chance to try and take a snowflake macro shot for the first time.Equipment
i used my SLR Sony Alpha 57 with a 30mm f/2.8 macro lensInspiration
i never took a photo of a snowflake before.Editing
i did some Photoshop editing but not a lot.In my camera bag
usually my macro lens a telephoto lens and a wide angle lens, a spare battery, flash drives and lens cleaning clothFeedback
get a nice macro lens make sure it is cold enough that the snowflake does not melt on contact with the surface before you get the shot, be patient and take lots of different photos
