Location
This image was taken from the deck on my Grandmother's home on Bouchie lake in Quesnel BC Canada. My grandparents moved to this property in 1967 and I have had the honour of seeing beautiful sunrises like this for the last 3 years.Time
Our bedroom window also faces this view and we are often awoke by the sun. I am often drawn out of bed at 5 am by the beautiful orange glow of these spectacular sunrises.Lighting
I wanted to capture not only the beautiful sun and sky but also the lake, boat and foliage. I wanted the viewer to feel as though they were standing right there beside me. Luckily there was enough light that I could use a closed aperture to get that beautiful Starburst and keep the whole scene nice and sharpEquipment
I believe I used a 16-85mm lens for this shotInspiration
Who wouldn't be inspired by such a beautiful sunrises!?Editing
I was lucky enough to capture this scene just as it was. This image is straight out of camera. In my camera bag
I am never without my 10-24mm, the other 2 lenses I always have handy are my 35mm and my 300mmFeedback
Sometimes it's just about being at the right place at the right time!
