I took this in natural lighting right after sunset.Equipment
Nikon D3100 Sigma 70-300mm lensInspiration
The colors of the sky were beautiful. I was getting into my car and saw the cat tails and squinted my eyes so that the sky was blurred. I thought in that moment what an awesome photograph it would be if I cropped in pretty tight. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.Editing
Adjusted exposure and hue/saturationIn my camera bag
I've upgraded to a D5300 since I took this photo. I still only shoot with my kit lens and sigma. I plan to upgrade my lenses soon but I'm still a fairly new photographer.Feedback
Get low to the ground and make sure to crop it in tight. The time of day is what really made this photo. I would recommend shooting at sunset
