That's such a heartwarming story ... You really should send this photo to the zoo and tell them that you just happened to capture the last moments of her life. They are such majestic creatures...I was fortunate enough to actually see them in the wild in Kenya many years ago...and even tho their life expectancy is far less than 18 years there, they are even more majestic in their natural environment.
Well done!

Location
The Kansas City Zoo in the area they call Africa.Time
I had taken the picture at around 3pm and remember thinking he had this look about him, and when I left the zoo and I had not even gotten to the parking lot and there was an announcement that the 18 year old head lion had died that day, so this picture really had a lot of meaning to me, as I feel I captured the emotions of this Lion.Lighting
I have nothing exciting about the lighting, just a great shot that day with my IphoneEquipment
I used my iPhone and cropped and edited to black and white.Inspiration
I love taking photos, and very inspired to get better at taking photos. I enjoy finding a great shot! I wish I could have a great answer for this question, but I had no post processing on this photo. I am not a professional photographer, but would love to be.In my camera bag
I finally have gotten a better camera than the IPhone. I have a Nikon 3200 18-55 started taking pictures with that camera in October. That is all I have in my bag till I can afford a bigger lens.Feedback
Love what you do!! I will wait for the perfect shot, or I have gone and came back, and I won't bring my 6 year old to the Zoo that day😃 Patience Good eye Thanks, Stephanie Lickteig
