Location
This image was taken on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. The beaches around Australia usually have rock pools build around the rocks at the ends of beaches for all round year swimming.Time
This was captured at night under lighting.Lighting
Yes there is a bit to say about this.....the pool was lit by sodium mercury lights which put out a colour temperature way below tungsten. I had a very hard time trying to correct it, in the end I think it looked better in B&W.Equipment
I use Nikon equipment. D200, 35-70mm f2.8 lens, 30sec exposure, f3.5, ISO100Inspiration
I like to photograph anything that takes my eye and have always liked the rock pools around Sydney. I usually wait for a high tide and big surf to get the waves washing over the pools.Editing
The only processing was levels, turning it b&w and sharpening. In my camera bag
I carry Nikon equipment around, usually too much as I think I will need something.Feedback
I guess low ISO for long exposures and of course a good steady tripod.
