I took this shot at my home beach Saunton Sands North Devon it's just a short drive from my house and a safe place to play with sparks.Time
Shot at around 10 pm on a calm winters night.Lighting
This sort of shot is great fun to do my son Ben like to spin the wire and be under all the sparks you need to find a safe place to do it as it can start a fire in dry grass not the best way to end a shoot.Equipment
I shot this image with my Nikon D800 and a Nikon 14-24 F/2.8 lens using a Remote Shutter Release Cable.Inspiration
I love to do this sort of image in the winter it get be out of the house i like the way the sparks light up the background.Editing
Didn't do much to the image in post just up the shadows and highlights and added a bit of sharpness to the image. In my camera bag
I have in my equipment bags Niko D3s D800 D300 Nikon 10.5mm 14-24mm 24-70mm 70-200mm all F/2.8 and my Big Nikon 600mm F/4 VR II this lens is my go to lens for Sport and Wildlife some times landscape shots. Lee filters etc.Feedback
This is a great way to get out in the cold winters nights and get some great shots it so easy to do wire wool 0000 grade is best then all you need is a short bit of string and a food whisk fill the whisk with the wire wool and light it with a lighter and start to spin it you will need one other to help you with this so you can take the shots and find a safe place to do it where you are not going to start a fire.
