Location
This photo was taken in vintage decorated house in Athens,Greece.Time
It was taken on a sunny sunday afternoon, about 3:00PM.Lighting
I took advantage of the natural light and I also used a softbox 60x60.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7100,Tamron 18-200,trypod Benro,and a flash SB 700 with a softbox 60x60.Inspiration
I really enjoy creating levitation photos.I like how unusual it looks. The day of the photoshooting my friend asked me if I could create a photo of her flying. So I did it and this is the result.Editing
I did post-processing.The model in the photo was actually laying on a small table. So I took two photos. One of the model on the table and one of just the background. After that, using Photoshop,I removed the table with mask.I also make the colors more vibrant. In my camera bag
In my bag you can find my Nikon D750,Sigma 85mm 1.8,Nifty fifty nikon 50mm 1.8,trypod Benro, lens filters.I also carry my speedlights- Nikon SB700,Nissin 866 mark ii and Yongnou YN568EX.And last but not least YN-622N-TX Flash Transmitter,YN-622C Yongnuo Wireless TTL triggers.Feedback
It is very important to use a trypod when creating a levitation photo. You should have the settings of your camera in manual mode,as well as the white balance. The autofocus of the lens must be switched off.Levitation photos can be really difficult for the model so be aware of his/her safety. Also, make sure that the model is not hided by what he/she is standing on because it will be very hard to fix it later. You will need to do some post-processing,as well.
